Moms...I have a q regarding PnP

So, Allison has outgrown the bassinet part of the Pack n Play, which was the reason we got it in the first place. I've since packed it up in the original box and it's sitting in the closet.

I guess I'm just wondering if we really might use it again later or if I should put it up on cragislist. I get the whole playard concept of it, but I don't know how long it will be before we use that feature...if at all. Our living room is kinda small, so there really wouldn't be room for it there.

Ok, so what are the pro's and cons of keeping it? Am I being a total lamebrain about this?

HELP!

Re: Moms...I have a q regarding PnP

  • funny, we're facing this same issue. ?right now it's taking up space in the garage, but i'm hesitant to sell it for fear of regretting it later.

  • We used our PnP instead of cribs at daycare and at relative's house(s).  But that's really it.  It's nice to have but almost not worth the trouble to store it.  I'm on the fence too.  Sorry, I'm no help.
  • Isn't it strange? I'm pretty sure Allison is going to be our only one, soo it's not like I'll need it for future use(in that respect). And my mom has a PnP at her house...what to do? what to do?

  • They're great for travel since hotel cribs are usually very old and pretty nasty. Other than that, I never used ours once they outgrew the bassinet.
  • Ditto what Jenn said, we used ours in a hotel when we stayed in San Diego.  I still have Katie's up in our bedroom because I put her in it when I need to take a shower or go to the bathroom and I am the only one here.  It helps in that aspect.  Once they start crawling and walking, and they need to be contained it totally helps out.
  • we used ours a lot for travel.  I guess it really comes down to, how much do you plan on traveling?  That being said, it is very bulky and takes up ton of car space when traveling.  I know there are other travel beds out there.

My mom did not have any sort of bed for Julian and for the last 3 months, she has kept the PnP at her house.

  • I'm with Julie, w/ds we used it till he killed it.  there comes a point where you want them to stay put, and it helps out, we used to put jacob in there w/toys and he'd burn himself out and take naps.  we always had it close so we could play or talk to him while in it but it was our mini baby sitter too. haha

now with jordyn we didnt get one because we went straight w/a crib. but boy do i wish i had one at times.

but yesterday we got a new sitter...a walker she's all over the place right now.. i love it!
