TGIF

Weekend plans anyone?

Mine were pretty much cancelled due to Irene.  Hopefully we'll just have fun as a family - watch movies and play board games.

Re: TGIF

  • We're hunkering down! :) Definitely some cleaning and crafting - woo hoo!
  • I'm crafting too.  If you saw my FB status I wrote that everyone's getting ready for Irene but I'm getting more stuff to complete projects I started at Joann's.  Enjoy!
  • I was just reading through this morning and saw that! :) Awesome! Our hurricane supplies are bottled water, trail mix, cookies, and bread with PB. haha

     Have fun!

  • Yeah we got water, cookies, bread and sandwich stuff too.

Now I have the AC running so it stays cool while I still can.  We don't usually lose power (knock on wood) in this area and I'm hoping that continues.  Especially since I want to use my sewing machine tomorrow!

  • We're in the brunt of it right now (38 mph sustained winds and 60+ gusts) and still have power (knock on wood!) Hope it's the same (or better!) for you!
  • Noontime is supposed to be the worst here.  So far so good.  The lights flickered but we still have power.  I hope that continues.  I know areas around me without power.
  • Well the rain is over but now the wind is bad!  We still have power (yay!) but it's been flickering.  There's a tree down in the backyard and the road was flooded earlier but that has gone down and is now passable.  There was a river going over the road it looked like.  Overall, the storm wasn't too bad here.
