We had to switch dd from similac advance to similac soy due to her being very gassey and having a little refux. Anyone had a dc that was on soy formula was there any issues when you had to wean then to whole milk?
Re: soy formula?
J was on soy b/c of a lactose intolerance. I weaned her to whole milk over 4 weeks and she didn't have any problem. She was already eating things produced with milk that she wasn't having any reactions to when I made her transition.
N is on soy, and I don't anticipate an issue. She's only on soy b/c of J's intolerance & how soon she needed her bowel surgery.
if YD is still having issues with lactose/milk based products, I wouldn't try to make the jump to whole milk. I'd start with a soy milk until you noticed she wasn't having issues with other milk based products (cheese, yogurt etc)
