It saddens me because I was hoping to make some new friends in the city. Just moved here full time about a month ago after I got married but am a life long suburbanite and have had a love affair with this city for years.

I was hoping to meet some people on here too...when nothing happened I went to meetup.com and made my own group.  Maybe things will turn around...who knows

I've been around for about a year or so, and it's always been like this. Guess people are just somewhere else! I heard it used to be a bit livelier, but that most of those people made a facebook group or something and are gone now. A few times people have tried to liven things up, but to no avail. Maybe it's about time to try again?

I hardly check this board because it is usually so dead. I am sure that there are tons of Chicago Nesties that would be willing to hang around this board if we could make it fun! About a year ago we used to have theme days and such that made it a little more fun but somehow that idea died off within a few months

If you look at other local boards, they are way more active.  I think its really interesting since a lot of new people move to Chicago over other places that people tend to live where they grew up.

Yeah, it totally doesn't make sense! It seems like we get a lot of people over here asking about housing and visiting Chicago, but not to many regulars. It'd be awesome if we could get this board going, though!

Our Knottie month board made a Facebook group and it was SO much easier for staying in touch because it works on mobile and can have more noticeable notifications than this board.

 Anyone interested in making a Chicago Knotties Facebook group?!

I always wondered the same thing! The Chicago knot board is more active, so I'm usually over there. There are a couple of GTGs coming up, so you should head on over to that board for more info!!
