Well, shoot

Today I was supposed to have a transition meeting at BabyD's school (he's moving up a class!), then have classroom time with him, go to the gym before all that, and tackle my to-do list at home. What could possibly happen to derail that kind of day? BabyD wakes up with a fever. At least it's my actual day off (work M-F).

Stuck him back in bed. He protested, weakly, then slept for another 40 minutes. Gave him benadryl and motrin when he woke up. He's doing just fine. Drank his milk, ate 1-1/2 waffles, and is chilling but happy. Super runny nose but no other symptoms.

Probably run over to the produce guy for some melon. Let him eat that to his hearts content after his regular food. If I get any of my to-do list taken care of that's a bonus. The only thing I plan to accomplish today is to make zuppa di verdura and stuffed shells for dinner. Already have the ingredients so got to make it.

  • Always frustrating to have your to do list derailed. But at least BabyD is feeling relatively well, so it is a bit relaxing? Enjoy your meal :)

  • Poor baby D. I hope he feels better soon! It always sucks when your to do list is derailed, but maybe it's a sign that you need to have a relaxing day on the sofa with the LO.
    Lilypie Second Birthday tickers
  • I wish all I needed to do was relax on the couch with the little guy! After having the cold from heck all last week I am so behind on various things. Today was also supposed to be food prep for the week. Got todays food mostly prepped (yay for nap time!) and yesterday managed to prep another dish. Trying to also tackle the thank you cards for his birthday gifts. Those are the priority items.

So far he seems to still be ok. Isn't eating much but that's probably because his little nose is so congested. Drinking plenty of fluids and acting normal otherwise. Even gave him some of my jalapeno cheetos figuring the extra spice would actually taste good. He's a fan!
