I know I posted this on FB, but does anyone know of any houses/duplexes for rent? We pref. want to stay in mid-cities area, Irving area, Coppell/Lewisville. I don't want to go too far into Dallas since hubbs works in Flower Mound/Highland Village. We need a bigger place (ours is like 800sq ft I think now) with a fenced backyard (does not have to be big at all) a garage and a bigger kitchen (you can't even fit 2 people in the one we have now it's so small). Our lease is up next month, and we are thinking of doing month to month until we get something bigger. Any help would be GREATLY appriciated! Thank you!
Re: For Rent
My husband and I are also looking for a duplex to rent and we've had good luck searching on Realtor.com using their advanced search. One of the search options lets you see them on a map which I think is helpful. Also check craigslist. If it's just a private owner of the duplex they might just post it there. And then you can always just drive around neighborhoods looking for "For Rent" signs....we've seen a lot of handmade signs in the neighborhoods we're looking in.
Good luck!
Meghan,
There are some duplexes on Timberline Drive, both right before the HS and right after the HS. I don't know if there are any to rent right now but it's a place to start.
Thank you suz-I'll try realitor.com. Craigslist had lots of apartments in Dallas/Plano area.
Julie-I live there now on Timberline
When we rented, we used Get There First realtors to help us find out place. It was free to us, and the management company that owned the duplex paid their commission. I don't remember the guy's name that helped us - Gary something, maybe - but I'm sure anyone in the company would be helpful.
Julie - the duplex I mentioned above was near WRL

We technically lived in Lockwood for many years and I love, love, love that part of Dallas. I wish we could move over there but the travel to and from work would be terrible.
