I just created a list on facebook for people I went to HS with that I don't want seeing my photos and stuff.
Locked. Down. I love it.
It was triggered b/c a chic who I am not friends w/ on FB said she recalled me getting married at the Copley (I am likely "friends" with many of her friends from HS)...and I am sure someone said something to her...I don't want her seeing all of my stuff.
Now, I added a lot of people to said list who probably have already seen stuff I know blocked them from...but eh, I don't care.

ETA: I let most of my friends see my stuff, but I have only a very select few who can see me when I'm online. Too many old friends starting chats with me that went nowhere... If you just wanted to say "hi" and not continue the conversation, just post on my wall or not at all. Or, my SAHM old friends who have started selling things (like Scentsy or Avon) kept starting chats to ask me to buy stuff or host a party. Doesn't bother me if they post specials on their page, and actually I may take advantage of those. But to start a chat under the guise of catching up and then suddenly turn the convo into trying to sell me stuff is obnoxious.
Rachel - want to host a party? haha, jk! I don't do that. I do post things but not like that, just my specials.
Jax - I just thinned out my friend list. It was awesome. However, you brought up a whole new point. I may start putting people in categories. I'm excited at the possibilities, lol!
