Lol... so I finally decide that I'm ready to get out there again and I told D about it and he encouraged me. The same day I told him, I went to Chipotle and met a really nice guy while waiting in line. He introduced himself, we chatted... nice, attractive... looked younger than me, like maybe 27-29ish... I mentioned my age in conversation (32) and he seemed fine with it but said he was shocked b/c I do look young. He asked me for my number and I gave it to him. We started texting back and forth... nice guy... He asked me to the movies and I said sure, why not. So we talked a little more. When it came up and I asked his age, he said he was twenty one... and was that ok?! Um, NOOOO, it's not okay! Twenty ONE!! That is a huge age difference... oh boy... he still wanted to take me out, said he didn't care about age and liked me but seriously... wow...

So now my very dear friend laughs at me and has nicknamed me Cougar! oye

Thought maybe you guys would like to laugh at me in my dating woes after all of the difficulties you've been through with weather this week...

I love how even though he knew your age he was totally ok with it!  Reminds me of an episode of Sex and the City where Carrie dates a much younger man.  Ultimately she realizes they have nothing in common so you probably made a good decision.  Could have been interesting though!

Yeah, he was pretty upset about it actually... very flattering... but you're right, it may have been a little fun but in the end... no bueno....

No... good for the self-esteem... pretty funny and almost embarassing though. I keep thinking what if I HAD gone out with him... THAT would have been awkward. I have former students older than him!!

Ha!  This definitely made me laugh!  Might have been fun for a date or two, but probably isn't looking for the same thing out of a relationship as you are.  That's great that he thought you were a lot younger than 32.

This story made me laugh! Sorry Crystal! But hey, it's great he thought you were younger, that never hurts for us to hear that we still look youthful and such. I definitely see where you are coming from though with him being too young, there's probably not much in common or at the same places in your lives, but still a great boost to your self esteem!
