What time to start Halloween party?

It's an adults-only party, so I can start later. Is 6pm good if I have some more substantial food, or should I start it later, like 7? It's going to be on a Saturday night.

Re: What time to start Halloween party?

  • I would say definitely at least 7; you can get away with starting it even later like at 8 or 8:30 considering it's on a Saturday and a Halloween party unless you want it to be over by a certain time like midnight; anytime we have get togethers it's usually just family and close friends and we don't really care how late everyone stays especially if it's Saturday. If people need to, we have extra space available for them to crash so they don't have to worry about driving late. Lots of luck with your Halloween party planning :) It's my one of my favorite holidays and we've talked about throwing a party this year too since we're finally in a house of our own.
  • I would say 7 if not 8.

  • 7 although when we say 7 it usually turns into 745 or 8.
  • We always start ours around 9 PM.  That gives me a few hours to finalize food and get my costume ready.  Most folks won't show up until then anways.
