Google update

I had my interviews for Google this morning and I think they went pretty well, but now I have to wait 2 weeks to find out if I get a second interview.  If I do, I will actually get to go to the Ann Arbor office for the interview.  Big Smile

I also applied to Macys, Sears, and Kmart.  Macy's and Sears don't want me, lol, but I have an interview with Kmart next week.  Of course Google is much better, but Kmart is still a job....if I get the Google job I could end up in Mountain View, CA.

Re: Google update

  • If you have a degree, Macy's and Sears don't want you. It's ridiculous how hard it is to get a job with a degree if it's not your "field." I had a hard time finding anything! "Well, you have a degree so you're over qualified." Obviously I WANT THE JOB OR I WOULDN'T APPLY! Ugh. I hope you have better luck than I had :o)

  • Yes, it's definitely frustrating.  The other problem I've had is that the positions that are open to entry-level applicants are open to anyone with a high school diploma.  I didn't spend 4 years and get into a lot of student loan debt to get a position that someone who barely made it through high school can have.  Tongue Tied
