Re: Weekend purchases!

  • I was bad this weekend. I haven't shopped in a while so I went a little crazy

Last weekend was just as bad.

  • Well because of the storm I didn't get out much. Friday into Saturday I bought groceries (and fondue items for my fondue friday!) and medicine for Papa. That about sums it up.

  • We bought food for at the lake and gas on our trip, but that was it. We were reasonably well behaved this weekend.

  • Friday we got groceries, a new lawn chair (that is already tearing so it is going to be returned) and a new pair of shoes for DH.

We went to an estate sale Saturday, so things are not as expensive as it all sounds...we got a military footlocker, a wardrobe, a dresser, a cart for the kitchen, a bookshelf, some old jackets including a military one, 3 Lenox bells, a quilt (handmade by friends' grandmother) a 1930's doll bed, a fife and recorder, chair pads, a lantern, and lots of old children's books.

Sunday we got a few forgotten grocery items, a newspaper and a pizza.

"I said what I meant and I meant what I said, an elephant's faithful 100%" Dr. Seuss, Horton Hatches The Egg. My Ovulation Chart Ttc buddies with LexiMS!
  • I was in Toronto over the weekend and just spent money on food, the streetcar and subway, and alcohol.

and I went grocery shopping and also bought some kitty litter from walmart.  11kg of Special Kitty clumping unscented with baking soda for $5!  Score one for the stinky kitty!

  • I only left my house this weekend to get food.  Didn't even buy anything online!

  • 2 textbooks and a novel, gas, a few groceries, and lunch.
  • I bought a couple of pair of shoes from Ross - one pair of Chinese Laundry black patent wedges for $14.99 and a pair of Steve Madden light peach(ish) flats with a ruffle on clearance for $11.99!  Score!

I also bought a couple of lightweight long sleeved t's from Kohls and 3 fashion necklaces (I have a problem!).  From Marshalls, I got a water bottle for Chavis, and a Swaddleme baby wrap and a yellow giraffe baby blanket for our sweet potato :)

  • I was boring and only bought groceries - we're trying a new budgeting software that DH found, so we're in a spending moratorium until we get everything sorted out. But my Patagonia dress (on sale for $19 down from $64!) arrived and is super comfy :)

That's crazy! Me and MH looked at getting a tree for the front yard, and they all were over $100. The Japanese Maples were between 150-200. Maybe it's just maples that are crazy expensive?
