I was depressed all weekend. We bought that table off of Craigslist -- and I have total buyer's remorse. I knew as soon as I saw it that the chairs weren't to my liking. But when you're standing in someone's living room and they are practically loading up the table into their Uhaul that they only have for that day to bring it to your house -- well, I didn't have the guts to say I didn't want it. I have no one to blame but myself. It's not terrible, but I do regret it.
*sigh*
Re: B&M Monday
Stephie,
I hope you didn't pay too much for it. And, you could always re-post it on Craigslist yourself.
I couldn't believe that it rained on me this morning!!!!
It was very difficult to get up this morning and I ended up running a few minutes later than I wanted/did last week. On the other hand, taking a shower at night and doing my hair then was a great success this morning--I got to sleep 30 minutes longer! Now, if only I could have found that short sleeved cardigan.....
I wish I knew you were looking for a table. I would have gave you the name of the place we went to. Yea, I've done that before because of Craigslist. I'm sorry your not happy with it. Maybe you can resale it?
I had a really fun weekend so I can't complain about that. I have an interview again today for the same job as before just a different department. I know I've asked before but any T&Ps you can offer I would appreciate.

Ben spent hours yesterday cleaning my car and it's about to rain. Which I'm thankful for, but I hate to see all his hard work ruined.
Deepthi, good luck today!

Good luck, Deepthi!
Mack is replacing some water-damaged flooring in our office this morning, and it makes me SO glad I only have a few emails to answer. Then I'm taking the baby and running away from the noise!
Good Morning!!
Stephie: Something similar happened to us with our Craigslist find. I hated the chairs but it was too awkward to say no, besides the fact that we had borrowed a friend's truck and drove an hour to pick up the set. I ended up just selling the chairs back on Craigslist - still took a $ hit, but at least now I'm free to get the chairs I really like.
Deepthi: Good Luck!!!!
DH was in Vegas this weekend, so I spent the days working my two jobs and browsing online for furniture and appliances. We move this Saturday and Moving Day will not come a moment too soon!!!
I'll take the name - we're in dire need of furniture. Any recommendations are appreciated
Good moring ladies,
I dont have much to complain about except that its Monday, I had a wonderful weekend, lots of shopping.
Deepthi,
T&P your way.
Bella Furniture and Matress.. It's a hole in the wall place and we negotiated our price with him.

Kate - I hear the weather is supposed to be cooler by the weekend, so that should make Moving Day easier to bear!
Stephie - sorry you don't like the chairs. Do you like the table though? Ditto PPs - you can offload those chairs to another CL buyer and get some you love.
I am really sad this morning. As I was about to get in my car, a little dog came running up to the garage. He looked at me, and then shyed away. I could see his collar, and tried calling him, but he ran around the edge of the house and stood there, and barked a couple of times. I keep treats in my car for this purpose, so I ran and got them, but by the time I found them and got back around the side of my house he was gone. I called for him, and waited a few minutes to see if he'd come back but he never did. I am so sad for him, and for his owners - I am so worried that he won't make it home. I have been just praying and praying for him this morning. Not a great way to start a Monday
Well, it makes me feel better to know I'm not the only one. But Ben is not too keen on me spending money on 6 chairs anytime soon so I think I'm stuck for awhile.

Awe....this makes me sad too. I hate seeing stuff like that, and strays. BREAKS my heart.
I fear that I either completely botched our first GMs somehow, or I'm just not going to be able to drink them. Mack drank his whole one (blueberry & peach), but I got two drinks in and thought I was going to hurl.
I think it was more of a texture thing than a taste issue, though. It was like drinking cold puree'd veggies. (Which, of course, it kind of is). Any ideas for trying again tomorrow?
*hugs* I am sorry. Trust your gut feelings - they tell you stuff for a reason. If your job is making you sick, I think that's a big sign for you... but only you can decide what's best. Hang in there, and I hope the situation improves soon!
Stephie - I just had a thought about your chairs. If you're not crazy about them, they make slipcovers for those kind of chairs. Google-image-search "dining chair slipcover." Some go to the floor and are more formal, some have a really short little "skirt" that barely goes past the bottom of the seat, and then some are very fitted (maybe with elastic?) around the bottom of the seat. Maybe, if you have to live with them a while, something like that might make you like them more?

It's Monday and all I want to do is going back to bed. I'm just not feeling like me today. I called my dr office and I'm waiting on them to call me back. I had a rough weekend. Saturday morning while doing the dishes I got really light-headed and dizzy. My throat felt like it was closing and my ears were stuffing and my vision started to blur. I laid down and DH got me cold rags and rubbed my head until I started feeling better. The rest of the day was a wash for me and I was completely exhausted. I drank plenty of water the day before and had 2 glasses that morning so not dehydration was it but it sucked.
Saturday night we went to the Rangers game with some of DH's family and I couldn't catch my breath or cool down. I drank 5 bottles of water and had a cold rag around my neck. We had to leave in the 7th inning and I couldn't walk back to the car. Sunday I did nothing but laundry and felt somewhat better but still wasn't me. This morning I was brushing my teeth and got the same throat closing, spotty vision thing. Walking in from the parking garage this morning I couldn't catch my breath again.
Dana,
I saw your check-in on FB and thought, "WTH is she doing there!" I would have been miserable and I'm not even pregnant.....
Jaymi,
I'm sorry that things are still unsettled. Try some plain crackers (or a whole sleeve like I did when I was sick again back in June). Hugs.
Angie - yes I thought about slipcovers but I still think they'd be expensive. And the thing is--I like the style and overall look of the chairs, they are just flawed.
Chelsea - you might want to try soy or almond milk instead of regular. I have never liked it with regular. I don't know why. Today I had one with chocolate soy milk and frozen cherries. It was OK, not my best ever.
Shortgirl - I am so sorry. Nothing is worse than dreading going to work each day. (How was the rest of the morning by the way?
)

I had these issues when I was pregnant. You need to stay in and rest, especially with the heat. No Ranger's games, no housework, no going out for walks - just drink fluids, eat healthy food and rest.

Julie, I didn't want to go to the game but Friday was a b-day thing for a friend and I was feeling fine Friday, all day even at the game. Saturday was a last minute thing and I didn't want to go but I felt bad since it was DH's family that we never see. I was asleep when they called and asked DH and by the time I woke up they were already at the house. I tried to hint that I didn't feel well and didn't want to go but I went anyway.
Brianna, no housework is gonna be hard. If I don't do it it's not gonna get done. I'm drinking plenty of fluids but this heat is killer. I'm really thankful I'm not 6-8 months pregnant right now. Like I said, I laid around and did nothing yesterday but get up every 30-45 min to change laundry and then I'd get back into bed and hang it all up and DH would eventually put it in the closet.
I'm feeling a little better now but still don't feel "normal".
It was absolutely fabulous
Morning ladies! Hope you all had a good week last week!
Deepthi - good luck today!
Dana - rest up!
Stephie - You may want to look into the cost of slipcovers or even recovering. I think you can get most dining chairs recovered for pretty reasonable prices. My grandma is an antique dealer and has stuff done all the time for cheap, and it looks good. If you want I can get the name of her vendor.
By any chance is anyone interested in playing kickball in Grapevine tonight at 8pm? We are short two people. We have to have at least one girl, but can fill the second opening with a girl or guy. Let me know if you are interested.

I think this morning was my answer to start looking for jobs below my pay so no need to ponder that part anymore.
Let me ask DH!
ETA: Called him - we're down! What time do y'all get there?
Bio
Awesome! We get there about 7:30. Wear a royal blue t-shirt (or something close) if you have it. We are team Kicking Back. It is at the Oak Grove Softball Complex off of Dove Loop, and we usually play on field 2.
Yay! I finally get to meet you too!

Good afternoon girls!
Jaymi - I hope things settle for you soon and in a positive way.
Chelsea - I have found that blueberries are just kind of blech in GM smoothies for some reason, no idea why. Regarding the texture - more ice and a lower fat milk might help you. The thickness of whole milk gets me just by itself, so I imagine it doesn't improve GM conditions.
B&M - One big long B!tch about my cousin being a huge B to me in front of my family at a birthday party this weekend:
My cousin has gained about 40-50 pounds since finishing high school six years ago but she is very tall with thin legs and can carry it better that most. She announced this weekend she is back in her size 10 jeans and then proceeded to ask me what size I had gotten down to, knowing full well it was bigger than 10. What kills me is that if she is a size 10, I am a size 2, I hate liars.
The same cousin came to the gym with me and my normal running partner last Tuesday and ran for about a minute then walked on the treadmill while reading a magazine. I was doing speed work intervals (going top speed for 60 seconds, backing it off to a much slower pace for 60 seconds) and she actually called me out this weekend for "phoning it in" on the treadmill. I pretty much wanted to slap her.
Last one: She graduated last May with her Kinesology degree and history minor, but can only teach PE as the History teaching test is "too hard." I am finishing my degree to teach History. She let everyone know on Saturday that she is starting to sub and "isn't it weird that she ended up in the classroom before Leslie." She went to school on her dad's VA money, some of us aren't so lucky.
It's obvious she is jealous but still it makes me so angry!
ETA: Not a B&M, but my sister brought her roomate's 3 month old baby to dinner last night and I held her the whole time. Cemented the fact that I pretty much need one of those ASAP. :P
Deepthi - Good luck!
Jaymi - I'm so sorry you're having to deal with all of that. I hope something better comes along soon.
Dana - I hope you get an answer and start feeling better soon!
I misread the email about timesheets, and I missed the deadline by half an hour this morning. Which means I won't get paid at all on the 15th. Guess I'll have to take out a loan from the Bank of Mom & Dad
Next month my SIL & BIL are taking a long weekend trip to New York, and they asked us to watch the twins for three(!) nights(!). I'm actually excited it about it, but I told DH he's going to have to finally learn how to change a diaper, because I'm not changing all of their diapers myself the whole weekend. I told him we'll start easy, with wet. He did learn how to burp them on Saturday, so that's something.
On a similar note, they asked us to be third-in-line to take the kids if something happens to them. The two of them plus both grandmothers would have to be gone for them to come to us, but I was still really touched that they would trust us to raise their three babies.
I am excited! We live off Park and Dove, so we're close!
