How far along should my pumpkins be?
I planted pumpkin seeds in late May. They took a long time to sprout and when they did, the heatwave hit for almost a month and a half and all but one plant died off. The one that grew didn't really do anything until this past month when it's been reasonably cooler and it started to grow. Now I've got about a 6 foot long vine and blossoms. There appears to be one tiny green, marble size pumpkin starting to grow.
My question is, shouldn't this plant and the pumpkins be further along? Or is it fairly on time?
Re: How far along should my pumpkins be?
Wow. Well, my vine is growing like mad. Who knows what I'll get. Even if I get them late, I like having them for Thanksgiving too. It was worth the experiment.
I'll try again year!
