I stayed up till about 2:30 reading a book last night. :::yawn:::
Re: Tuesday, Tuesday
Wohoo 1 day closer to the holiday weekend!
Oh, what book, Molly?
I'm going to try to be more productive today. And, go...
The Hunt, by Jan Neuharth.
I give it 3.5 stars, but I couldn't put it down last night.
Sounds like a good book
Oooh I got that for my Nook on freebie Friday. I liked it.
Trying to figure out where to go out to eat tonight. A friend of ours is coming home on leave from Japan. We think she's still a vegetarian. DH thought Bombay but I am thinking she might not want more Asian food. DH said Indian isn't Asian :-/
Any ideas for a backup?
Yeah me too. I finally got around to reading it. Started it on Sunday night and finished it Monday night.
In my opinion Indian is different enough from what I would expect to eat in japanese or chinese. You could always just ask her what she's been craving. When I got back from my study abroad all I wanted was a good american hamburger and american breakfast. Things I didn't get very often while I was gone. I'm guessing there is something she's been looking forward to.
ugh...I keep forgeting about Freebie Friday!
'Sup ladies.
Speaking of books I think I am going to go check out Borders going out of business sale. While I am quite sad they are going out of business, I fully plan to take advantage of the sale.
I totally would. I wish there was one near me.
'Sup, Mira.
I feel human today.
Des and Mol, I have no idea how you dealt with this surgery and a family tragedy at the same time.
And c-section mamas are bumped up on my rock star list.
Yay for feeling human! You will feel A LOT better in the next 2-3 days, I promise.
And my mom probably saved my life. For real. It was an incredibly stressful time, and she did SO MUCH for me.
Glad to hear you are recovering all right.
I saw my grandpa on Friday night and told him I would be over Tuesday (today) after work to play a few games of cribbage with him. He lives with my aunt who lives down the road from me. (He just moved back to MI from FL 1.5 weeks ago.)
My aunt called my dad and asked him to call me to cancel tonight because grandpa is having a bad day. She was on her way to the ER with him because he was having trouble breathing.
Not cool.
Ugh, he is deteriorating so quickly, it sucks so bad.
Gripe here. I had to call doctor's office 3 times to cancel an appt & reschedule and to call me to confirm. Well they cancelled the appt but never called to confirm that and didn't reschedule. So I had to call today, wait for 10 minutes, got transferred, was told this and got rescheduled for almost a month out. WTH ugh
Have you guys checked out Bartertown Diner yet?
I'm so sorry. This is really hard to watch happen to someone you love.
D&M- I am so sorry.
GRSP- Glad to hear you are feeling human! I imagine each day you will feel even better.
Molly, sorry to hear that your grandpa's having a bad day. I agree, that's really hard to watch. That's great that you now live in the same city as hime though, and you can see him often.
GRSP, hi! Glad to hear that you're feeling human again. That is a good thing.
Breakfast of champions.
Mol, I'm sorry about your grandpa. I hope you two can reschedule for later this week.
Henry and I just built the coolest marble race course ever. We're all missing Willa like crazy. My mom came on Friday to be with the kids, and then took Willa with her for many days. Next summer, Henry might be old enough for camp Grandma too.
Yesterday, I walked to our side yard, and a woman was standing there. She's looking at houses, and was taking a peek. She wanted to see the backyard because she has 2 cats who like to climb trees, and she wanted to make sure we have a good climbing tree. We have a kick butt climbing tree. You all know I don't have cats, and I don't understand them sometimes. Is this not, um... kind of weird?
How nice of her to consider her cats when house hunting! For the most part, my experience with cats is limited to my own, and they're not allowed to climb trees. It does seem a touch weird though.
CMU faculty was on strike, but it looks like everything is back to normal, and my class will start in a few weeks. We've had this prof before, and she's my favorite by far. So professional and experienced and warm. Yay!
How old was Willa when she first stayed at your moms. It seems like she has been going there for a while now. Are you sure he wouldn't do good? Can you try it some time, where you spent the night at your sisters close by, in case he didn't do so well. Or at least, tell him that he is staying there overnight without you guys. You and Jim stay out late and don't get back until after he went to bed. See how he does with him thinking he is just there with Grandma and Willa.
I hope you told her this. Also, you should think about having your real estate agent add it to your listing.
