Stalking your pinterest. I am pretty sure we are shoe soul mates.

Re: MrsJason

  • Me loves shoes. Me loves Pinterest.

Dude, I think Pinterest is going to be my downfall.  I LOVE that site, however I feel the need to shop compulsively since joining.  I have already purchased quite a few things from my style pinboard.  And my list of "I wants" is growing by each pin.  Not so great for the bank account!

BTW, I got an awesome pair of shooties from JCPenny of all places and a awesome pair of floral print pumps from Macy's yesterday.  Both of witch were under $20!

    Me is a bargain shopper.

Ha, I need a job!  Not really I just need a new husband who will understand my NEED to shop!  But yes, my shoe obsession is intense!

Isn't that site great?!  BTW, how was your trip to South Carolina?  I am sure it was a nice break!

  • I have also gone scarf crazy too, thanks to Pinterest.  Scratch that scarf and boot crazy.  What the hell do I need boots and scarfs for?  It's only 105 outside today, LOL.

  • lol@ you sounding like cookie monster. Me love shoes! :P

I have too much will power (or maybe it is overwhelming guilt) to spend money on anything, let along shoes. However, if I had extra money I would be pouring it in to a very large shoe collection. I love them. The only thing I like about where I live is that I can wear heels in the middle of the day and no one judges. Or at least no one outright judges. I live in the land of the cat woman.

I need to go shopping with you when I do. I never, ever find shoes I love that are under $50. Ugh.

My trip was okay. We got stuck there thanks to Irene for an extra day. It was nice, though. I got some really good pictures that I am editing. My SMIL wants me to get into photography.

Sidebar: She was saying (drunkenly) that I need to find a good market to sell my photography to (as if I was on board with being a photographer in the first place) and she was like "You should go into a small florist shop... One that isn't very established. Like ones the Hispanics use."

    Yeah. She said that.

I think you should totally pick up photography!  I think you would be good at it.  You are creative and would have a good eye for shots.  I am so glad I found photography, it's very therapeutic!

And wowza @ your SMIL.  What a thing to say!  But the sad thing is she probably didn't even realize that what she said is racist.  I hear questionable comments from time to time regarding race and I truly think that the people have no clue that what they said was offensive!

  • Yeah, maybe. I have a really crappy camera right now. I am making the best of it. There is zero chance of affording a camera (or programs other than gimp, which I already have) that I could use to do pro-like shots, though. So I'm just kind of playing with it.

Yeeeeah. I totally agree. I feel like she would have never said that in front of a person of Hispanic background, though. I honestly think that if it were okay to say racist things all the time without consequence she totally would. It's annoying.

I feel you pain regarding making the best of your current equipment.  I desperately need a new camera, something is wrong with my pixels......on some of my photos I get a thin blue line.  Very annoying.  It's not really worth the repair since it's an entry level camera and it would be smart for me to upgrade.  Not to mention I need a new lens of two.  :/  Fortunately I am all set on the photo editing aspect.  I was able to use my friends education discount to get my software which was a HUGE savings for me!  If you ever do have a few bucks lying around and need a photo editing program you can pick up Photoshop Elements for around $90.  I think I have even seen it on sale for $65 (although I am not 100% sure of that number).  Elements is a great program, I used it for about a year before upgrading to Creative Suit.  I highly recommend it!!

  • I should show you some of the pictures I have been editing. I am such a wuss about them, though. Explain to me (as if I was completely ignorant, because, well... I am) why photoshop or another program is worth the extra money... What can you do with those programs that is different from ones like gimp? :)
