All I was doing was cutting the patterns and fabric for the dogs' costumes. First I pulled my back out stretching too far to cut something. Then, I cut my finger with the rotary cutter. My back hurts much worse than my finger though. Much, much worse.
However, Herschel (my chi) and Hamlet (my pug) will be the cutest blue Angry Bird and pig king ever.
Re: CR Injuries
For a while I had a rotary cut to mark every project I've sewn. I haven't cut myself in the last few projects, but I did stick myself with a needle yesterday.
I hope your back heals up quickly. I pulled something in mine picking L up that seemed like it took forever to feel better.
Stand up for something you believe in.
Ouch! My CR injuries are mostly pin and super glue related. I've also burned my finger on my hot glue gun. I'm a major klutz, so I'm surprised when the end of the day rolls around and I'm still in one piece!
No pain, No gain! lol, feel better!
Yesterday my fingers decided it would be a good idea to have some hot glue on them. Again. And my needle decided it was angry with me and stabbed me. My scissors love to try and cut me.
I don't know why my craft things hate me.
Oh, and I can totally relate with the back. I've got a pinched nerve in my spine and leaning over my table to cut fabric hurts SO EFFIN BAD. And it'll hurt for a few days. I hope you feel better soon!

Hope your back heals quickly.
My worse CR injury happened in high school. I was working on a project and accidentally put my hand on some hot glue. My entire thumb was a blister.

It took me years to learn that, yes, in fact, I have to pay attention to my posture when sewing, and to keep ice water nearby ala Martha Stewart when using the hot glue gun. Apparently I needed many many injuries to learn!
I hope you heal fast!
I think you are all way more hardcore than I am, because any these injuries would have put me off the project for good.
My worst injury, tame by comparison, has been blisters from scissors. This was before I knew about rotary cutters. I compounded the newbie mistake by doing all of the pieces for a full size quilt in one session. And they were denim.
Yeah, this is pretty much me on every project. I get on a roll, then I have to stop and bandage my finger so I don't get blood all over the fabric. And then I just cant get back into it.
