Anything exciting today? I'm off and am going to take the pups to Petsmart to get their hairs cut.
Re: Hello everybody!!
Mine have always gone there, H's (and mine too I think) BFF is a store manager at one so we've just always taken them, even though his store is too far for us to go to regularly. We have been to Trinity, Oldsmar, CP, WC, and Dale Mabry. They've all good and we've never had a groomer we didn't like. I have 2 pekingese, one is snippy and has actually bitten once, but he looooves to be groomed and they always say they want to keep him because he's so sweet. My angel who loves strangers hates the blowdryer, so his head and face are usually still damp when I pick them up, which is fine. It's kind of pricey, I spend close to $100 with tip for both. I could probably get a smaller shop near my to do it for less, but we are set in our ways and I know they like it there. I have done it myself but I am really truely awful at it. I will never get it. They sense my fear
nothing exciting today. went t othe gyn. found out i'm not a great canidate for an IUD. which i knew bc i haven't been KU, but I was still holding out hope.
she said they could possibly do it, but it's pretty crampy afterwards for a while, and they really prefer not to do them in women who haven't been KU.
bleh. so, back to BC I go. i'm going to try something called sprintec. i think i've been on it before, but I don't remember (and they dont have the records from my old gyn). so i'll try it again.
i want to read TCOYF, but that method really makes me nervous and scared.
I know of at least 2 people who have IUDs who haven't had kids yet, so its definitely doable, but they are the ones with hormones in them, so its really not much different than taking BC, except for the actual taking of the BC.
We're leaving for TN tonight, woo-hoo!
my read shelf:
She said that the paraguard (the hormone free one) is "bigger" and sometimes can't be placed in women who have not had kids.
and she said the mirena has hormones. I was wanting the hormone free one.
Honestly, i'm a gigantic baby when it comes to pain/cramping and the thought of having intense cramping for weeks scares me.
I'm willing to try some other birth controls first .
I read it, and was attempting to chart - although my goal was to get pregnant
. It's amazing how accurate it can be if you're fairly regular. The problem I found is that when I was relaxed and home my temps told me a lot, but I travel a lot for work and would frequently have a strange sleep schedule (i.e. going to bed late, up early, waking up in the middle of the night) and I would see spikes and dips in my temperatures that made my charts fairly useless. I was happy to retire my basal thermometer when my specialist told me it wasn't going to help us get pregnant. I'm ridiculously regular, but if I wasn't I'd be MUCH to nervous to use this as my sole form of BC.

The best BC I've ever used was the patch. My insurance (probably all of them) stopped covering it bc of risk of blood clots but as long as you are healthy and active like us I'm willing to take the risk, it just get pretty expensive. I am extremely sensitive to hormones and this was the one thing that gave me zero side effects. GL, the search can be torture.
She didn't mention the patch. She mentioned that nuva-ring thing, which really freaks me the heck out.. She said that from what I described she thinks the hormones are whats messing with me, so i think the bc she put me on is a low dosage. I hate going to the Dr. it's like info overload..
kind of funny coming from someone who works for a Dr. you'd think i'd know to ask questions. but i get so nervous and overwhelmed. When she was listening to my heart she says, "wow, your heart is racing."
I said, I know, I'm nervous... you'd think it was my first time to the gyn. but it was my first time w/ her. they make me nervous. like they are judging me.
and the girl that brought me to the room - i said i wanted to talk to the Dr. about the iud, and she told me some stuff about it and i said, "well, i don't want kids." (we are undecided, but no point in going into all that detail)
and she says, "like, you just haven't met the right one to have kids with?"
me, "uhm no, i'm married."
her. "oh."
......and she was 6-7mths pregnant. the whole thing was just weird.
Ew, was she being judgy? I don't like judgy people, that's not cool. Especially when you are in a vulnerable environment (I think it is very natural to get nervous when you are seeing a new GYN)
I did the Nuva ring also. I went on it right from the patch. I liked it just as much as the patch, the side effects from the hormones were also pretty much non existent. It's scary bc you "leave it in" so you'd think it would be infectous or (this might be TMI)... not smell so good when you take it out or something. But there was nothing like that at all. It was surprisingly easy to get in and out and I personally never felt it while it was in even once. I know it's not for everyone, but just wanted to share my personal experience, which was all good. Like the patch, I just stopped when insurance changed and the price tripled. I couldn't justify it anymore. Then I went on the piill and was nauseus all the time. Ugh.
I was told by my OBGYN that doctors are moving away from the patch because of the high miscarriage rates during use of the patch. My step-sister had three while she was on the patch.
That being said, Sprintec is the pill I was taking when I got knocked up. Watch yourself!
Today... well, I feel sh1tty, so I'm probably just going to veg at my desk and then eat something junky for lunch and then veg some more. I've warned everyone I may be getting sick, so it's been nice to do my busy work and not be bothered.
No, she wasn't judgy at all. I don't know, it was jsut weird telling someone whose pregnant that i probably don't want kids..
and Nicole...thanks for that. lol. :-)
Ahahaha. If my pregnant self met you, I'd give you a high five and a look that said, "Giiiiiiiiiirl, you are way smarter than my preggo self."
I would be more annoyed that the girl didn't read your chart and know you were married.
Dang! I hadn't heard of that, 3 miscarraiges? I guess I'm pretty lucky, I used it for 3 years. All I got was a little rash where the sticky stuff was.
LOL, yah. It was strange. Like, I might have tried to notice if the person has a ring on their finger.. not that it always indicates marriage. Oh well. It's over now, thank goodness. and I don't have to go through that for another year assuming everything comes out a-okay with my labs.
oh, and on one of their forms there was a typo it said "fell" instead of "feel".. but Id idn't say anything.. I am 100% sure the receptionist would have been said, "Okay, it will be my pleasure to take care of that" in a raspy sexy voice and then it would have floated out her other ear.
that's their "thing" there - they said, "my pleasure." it makes me want to gag a little.
Good for you! I went from working out 5-6 hours a week to not at all (besides my actual job which is like a work out). I'm about to try out my new prenatal pilates video. Now that I've wrote it I have to do it. Here goes!!
Hello!
Yesterday I was in a car accident (not my fault, nor was it super bad) and I am a little sore today in my back. The baby was with me which totally freaked me out. She is one tough baby she didn't make a peep when we were hit. We were hit pretty hard so I was kinda surprised me she was so clam about it. Thankfully we are both ok, no harm. Now I just got to get some estimates on the damage. Blah. I don't have time for this crap.......
Today I am getting my house in order because I will be leaving tomorrow for FL for three weeks! I am sooooo looking forward to getting out of Texas for a while. It's too effing hot here. I can't stand the heat. Seems odd that I would be looking forward to visiting FL for the low temps, LOL. But this 109 degree weather is exhausting. Not to mention it hasn't rained since January so everything is dead and the grass has turned to dirt. I am sick of having dirty feet all the time!

My OB suggested Implenon to me at my postpartum visit. It is a little rod that goes in your arm and has to be replaced after 3 years. She said you can't see it but if you rub your finger over the spot where it is at you can feel the tiny rod.
