    1. Favorite food? Oh gosh...I'm a big, big Chinese fan. Give me some beef broccoli and fried rice, and I'll eat it for days.

    2. Hobbies? I just started really getting into scrapbooking and reading again. I also keep journals [I have like, 20 I've written in since I was 12] and collect basketball cards.

    3. Dream vacation? European trip. I was born in Germany but don't remember much of it at all...I would love to spend a month just exploring different countries, especially Germany, Italy and England.

    4. What's your current favorite song? Just about anything on Tha Carter IV. I wasn't a big Wayne fan until I heard this album.

What will you miss about Oklahoma?  What will you not miss? I'll miss Stillwater - a lot. JJ was born here, I went to college here...it's become a big part of me, and it'll be hard to leave. I think I'll miss being close to family and friends the most though.

What I WON'T miss is the heat - H keeps telling me they've been getting rain and their lows are in the 60s, and I'm so jealous. :P And, I'm looking forward to a change of scenery...one of the houses we're looking at has an amazing view of the mountains. I'll love waking up to that every morning.

Baby names you love? Hayden [girl or boy], Sophia, Tessa, Parker and Joshua are a handful of my favorites.

What's your favorite movie? The Proposal. I watch that movie way too often. A close second is Steel Magnolias.

Are you afraid of anything? I have this big fear of spiders [I watched Arachnaphobia when I was little...bad idea] and needles. The needles thing has gotten better over the years, but my fear of spiders has not. *shudder*

What's your favorite restaurant? I'm a big, big fan of Ted's. There's a restaurant on Maui that serves the most amazing breakfast, too...wish I could remember the name. Those are my faves.

Favorite book? Island of the Blue Dolphins. My 5th grade teacher gave it to me after I was crowned the Accelerated Reader champ of my class. I read that book multiple times all the way through high school.

Best childhood memory? I had some pretty awesome birthday parties growing up. The year I turned 6, I got my first big kid bike. My dad had gone to the field and missed my birthday, but he left me this special note and bought me a special helmet that I got at the party. I remember thinking it being so awesome that even though my dad wasn't there, he'd still found a way to be a part of my birthday. He got back two weeks later and took me on my first ride around the block. :)

What is your dream job? Once upon a time, I wanted to be the PR person for an NBA team. But then, I had JJ and decided that probably wouldn't balance out well...so now, I want to be a part of student life at a university. My ultimate goal is to be a director of student affairs, campus life or honors program.

What are your favorite colors to decorate with? I love just about any shade of blue - it's my favorite color. I honestly haven't gotten the chance to really "decorate" yet since I've been living in dorms or apartments the past 7 years...but once I move, I'll be able to decorate.

What are you currently obsessed with? Baking. I have all these recipes I want to try. Now that my gallbladder has been evicted and I feel almost back to normal, I'll be doing a lot of baking in the coming weeks.

  • What's one of your favorite OSU football memories?

When are you heading to Colorado?

Have you started planning JJ's birthday party yet? If so, what do you have in mind?
  • What's your favorite part about being a mom?

What's your favorite thing about Oklahoma?

What are you most looking forward to when you move?

  • 1. What's your favorite thing about being a mom?

    2. What's your least favorite thing about being a mom?

    3. If you could have any career, what would it be?

What's one of your favorite OSU football memories? Hands down, Homecoming 2007. It was my senior year of college, we hadn't won Homecoming while I was in college, and the game got really tight at the end. I almost walked out, but I went back to watch the final 3 minutes of the game. We wound up scoring with seconds left and won the game - it was freaking awesome.

When are you heading to Colorado? Game plan is next summer at the latest. H is up for deployments the next six months, and I'm fully anticipating he'll be going soon because his MOS naturally deploys a lot. But, I don't want to wait for a deployment and then move - I want to move soon. Once I find a job, we'll make arrangements to leave.

What are 2 goals you have for yourself for the next year? Get down to 145 lbs. [unless I get pregnant again...we plan to start trying for no. 2 next year] and get accepted into a master's program.

Have you started planning JJ's birthday party yet? If so, what do you have in mind? I have...he's a huge Toy Story fan, so we're doing a Toy Story party. We already found his birthday shirt, two Toy Story-themed gifts, and I've started buying decorations. :P

What's your favorite part about being a mom? I love having him around. JJ is at a very entertaining age right now, and no matter how bad of a day I have, being with him makes everything better. He's so funny to watch and interact with.

What's your favorite thing about Oklahoma? The people. A majority of the people here are so, so nice...I could never live on the East Coast. The people I've encountered there [including my own family] are just too rude for me.

What are you most looking forward to when you move? A change of scenery. I've lived in Oklahoma for 17 years. I love it here, but I want someplace new - and, more importantly, I want JJ to explore new places.

    1. What's your favorite thing about being a mom? Another thing I love about being a mom is watching JJ grow up. It's so fascinating to watch him discover new things, learn new words...he constantly amazes me.

    2. What's your least favorite thing about being a mom? The lack of sleep. :P He and I have been on our own since he was 9 months old, and taking care of our home + work + him = exhausting. I probably average 4-5 hours of sleep a night when he's with me.

    3. If you could have any career, what would it be? I would love to be a professor. That was always the first thing I wanted to do - teach. Not sure how good at it I'd be, but I still want to do it.
