DOTD - Tuesday

While it seems like I've been slacking this week, Monday was Irene stories and yesterday was power outage stories, so I didn't bother to post DOTDs. I was in an organizational management meeting all morning (go ahead, ask me anything about culture change!) so I am late to today's game but this ought to provide you with entertainment until you go home: 

"Are you usually the first or last to mutter those 'three little words' in a new relationship?"

 Me - first. I admit it. Commitment-aholic.If I feel it, and I mean it, I say it.

i'm usually last. DH said it first and i kinda didn't want him to because i was a little scared of how hard we fell for one another. i did feel the same way and said it a few hours later. but hey, we've been together for 6.5 years next week and married for 4 on friday so it worked out

I'm last too.  He said it waaay too soon for my 18 yr old self.  I was stunned and actually broke up with him.  Turns out he actually did love me and we've been together more than 8 years.

DH said it first, but I followed shortly after (can't remember if it was days or weeks... is that bad?!). I was pretty sure I felt the same, but wanted to be sure. I dislike when those words are overused and lose their meaning.

My hubby also said it first, and too soon for me. We had been friends for years, but only "together" for 2 months. When he said it, I said it back right away, but I didn't mean it yet. Isn't that terrible? I knew I wanted to marry him, so I assumed I would love him soon, so it would be okay to say it. haha. I did actually mean it shortly after

I said it first to my hubby and he said it right back.  Normally I waited till the guys said it first, but with DH I couldn't wait and just blurted it out...

I said it first to DH (my first time saying it to anyone, although I'd felt it a time or two before), and then he took f-o-r-e-v-e-r to say it back.  If I had it to do over again, I would have held off a little, but it just felt right at the time.  And since it eventually felt right to him, too (and we've been married 4 1/2 years), I suppose it all worked out in the end.

Usually last. With DH, he said it first, but then I said it back immediately. We'd been dating--oh, a month at that point? But had been co-workers/friends for a year before that. We just knew.

DH said it first... although his words were "I think I really love you" and that was after 3 weeks of dating.
