How much detergent do you use? I am having major stink issues and my Ecosprout is just aboout out and I'm thinking of switching. But am curious how much do you use...maybe I'm using too much/not enough?? I'm at my wits end with that stuff !

I had to use 6-7 tbsp and ultimately ended up switching to Charlie's after trying bum genius & RnG also.

Holy crap! Yeah I am not using near that! I should add it's ammonia stink issues not poop stink.

I use 2 for a full load, 3 if I'm doing a major soak on the weekend. So far I've been very happy with it. When they come out I smell nothing. If I smell anything (not bad, but just something) I know it's time to soak. My diapers don't stink. Stained - oh yeah - but not stink. (but I know how to sun those babies really well so everything can be fixed.)    :-)

With diapers, more detergent will cause you problems. 6-7tbsp is going to give you major build up and repelling. You should use 2-3 max. If you feel you need more then you need to strip. Check out RnG's Kim's blog post on our blog, she has an entire post on washing. I would also suggest trying Bac out (not on pul though) as it will help tremendously.

I use 2T normally.  3T if I'm doing an overnight soak and I include an extra rinse.  6-7 sounds like waaaaaaaaay too much.

I tried 2 and had poop stink issues. Everyone I asked said that poop smell = not enough detergent so I used more. It wasn't until I got to about 6tbsp that I didn't have the stinkies. I didn't have any repelling even with this rediculous amount, but like I said, I ultimately switched detergents because of this
