Beach question...
DH and I will be in Anaheim in October. We're going to have one free day that isn't booked up yet, and we were hoping to spend it at the beach since neither of us has ever been in the Pacific ocean.
So, my question, can anyone recommend a beach? (We have no kids, so don't need to worry about entertaining them!) Andddd... is it going to be warm enough to really swim or will this be more of a "dunk and run so we can say we did" situation?

Re: Beach question...
The weather in October changes drastically from the start of the month to the end. Uusally the beginning of October is on the warm side, but by the end of the month it begins to feel like fall and the weather is much cooler. I guess it just depends when you'll be here but I doubt you will be able to go swimming by then.
I've heard La Jolla and Mission Beach are really nice. This board is pretty dead so you may have better luck asking on the Orange County board since that's where Anaheim is.
