Stupid question for the Southern girls
Is it a thing in the South to dress up for football games? I keep seeing all these cutesy sundresses and stuff pinned on pinterest with comments like "perfect football outfit!" and they all seem to be from Southern areas.
Around here, you do jerseys for the like the first 3 weeks of football season and then it's so freaking cold everyone's bundled up. I can't imagine getting dressed up to go!
Re: Stupid question for the Southern girls
I think football being a religion down here for most schools means that games are the social event of the week and you can't be seen in less than your perfect best. At Murray, dresses aren't really popular for games other than Homecoming (then you're dressed to the nines, even if you're walking through a mud pit in Tent City), but sorority ladies will generally wear their blue and gold in fashionable ways, including heels, sweaters, scarves, off the shoulder tops, etc.
But it's definitely something I have never and will never do. I'm not there to impress people, I'm there to cuss at refs and mock other players.
Thanks girls! I must be following all sorority girls on pinterest because I kept seeing it and just wasn't getting it.
