Third Person Thursday

Shelley is not looking forward to training someone this morning.  She will be very happy when it is done but this guy drives her crazy with his 8 million pointless questions.  Shelley is hoping it will only take a couple hours.

Shelley is glad that she is pretty much done with the budget stuff.  The first draft is due today and Shelley hopes there are no major changes.

Shelley is hoping to get a few small things cleared up this afternoon and finally off of her desk.  They have been driving her crazy for a while and she just hasn't had the time to address them.

Shelley can't believe that it is September already.  Shelley gets a little more stressed each day because now it means that her little man could arrive any day.  Shelley is really hoping he will stay where he is until the 10th.  After that he is free to arrive at any time he feels like.

Jessica is super excited that it's September, fall is my favorite season.

Jessica is also super ecstatic that it's September because that mean's Cody will be here and soon and also Jessica's little niece or nephew will be here also!

Dani would like some suggestions from her fellow nesties. The pedi told her to layoff the dairy for a week to see if it helps Bridget's gas problems. Everything Dani eats seems to have cheese, milk, or butter in it. Dani already doesn't eat red meat so that eliminates many meal options. Dani feels like there's nothing she can eat besides chicken and seafood. She can't even eat her when-all-else-fails food, which is cereal. Any advice?

Whitney is also super excited for September and fall but just wishes the weather would start cooperating. Whitney is so over summer!!!!!!

Whitney also can not believe it is September and Cody is due this month and that she is due next month. Lots of girls on Whitney's due date board keep saying they are done being pregnant but Whitney does not feel this way. She hopes he stays in until at least October 1st.

Whitney is excited to go to TN this weekend and see her family and have her baby shower, but Ben's family is being a tad annoying so she is hoping it does not get to her and stress her out this weekend. She really does love them but they are so anal, anxious and pick at small things so they stress her out sometimes. Ben's sister who normally can be a buffer is not coming this weekend.

Stacey had to report for jury duty today.  She was not excited about it, but it might be more interesting than she thought.  Stacey is on trial jury for criminal and civil cases.  There is not a whole lot of big criminal activity in her small town, so there probably won't anything intense.  She only has the chance of reporting for 8 days.

Tania can't believe that it's September either and is very excited for Cody's arrival. Sending lots of vibes that he stays put until after the 10th.

Tania wants to suggest that Dani try switching to soy milk or rice milk or whatever the other option is out there. (pregnancy brain) She had a friend who had to cut out dairy while she was BF too, and switched milk. She said it took some getting used to and she still missed regular milk, but it's worth a try. She also cut out fried foods to help with gas.

Tania had an u/s yesterday and was amazed at how much the baby has grown. She even saw it wiggling around in there a little bit. She can't wait to see what it looks like in 2 weeks at her 12 week u/s. She is letting her sister come and she is so excited! Tania is going to try to go look at nursery furniture today so her and Drew can start to get a taste of what they like.

Shelley suggests pasta too.  Rice always goes well with chicken and seafood.  If Dani really wants ice cream the Tofutti ice cream sandwiches are really tasty.  The ice cream is pretty good too.  It has a slightly different taste but nothing huge.

I eat mostly dairy free since I can't have lactose.  You might want to try using almond milk or soy milk for your cereal.  It will taste weird at first, but you will get used to it.  I prefer the almond milk right now (I get unsweetened vanilla made by blue diamond)  But I do also enjoy soy milk as well.  I've used most of the non dairy cheeses out there.  Some are better than others.  Is the Dr. wanting you to avoid the milk protein(casein)?  Just because there are some replacement foods that contain casein, which doesn't bother me as someone who is just lactose intolerant, but for someone with an allergy to milk, it would be something to avoid.  I make a lot of the meals that normally call for milk/cheese without if possible or I split it and just make a small portion for myself milk free. 

I have lots of menu ideas/product suggestions for substituting. Feel free to ask questions if you need to.  It is frustrating at first because you definitley feel like there is nothing you can eat.  But you do get used to it and find plenty of ways to make substitutions or eat things naturally dairy free.

Shaina says that her cw really likes the blue diamond almond milk, so maybe Dani can try that.

Shaina is have an AWESOME AWESOME day at work.  Shaina actually was told she had a good document by her HQ and they almost wanted Shaina to brief the General today, eek!  Shaina was freaked b/c she is not dressed to brief the General, which Shaina even said to her boss, lol.

Shaina hopefully will get to actually enjoy her day off tomorrow, woot!

Melissa is excited to go up and tailgate for the Syracuse football game. Football used to mean so much to the city and stupid Greg Robinson came in an ruined it in a matter of three years. The new coach last year turned the team around, and the city is excited again. She is also hoping to see if any of the students she tutored this summer will get playing time. And of course she is excited for a beer or two after work!

Mar sent Dani a msg on fb regarding her question.

Mar can't believe Shelly and Whitney are almost at their due dates! Those 9 months flew by!! 

Mar has felt very relaxed since deciding to go PT earlier than planned. She's nervous about telling her boss since theyre understaffed. 

Mar and her Dh also found out that they moved up their new houses building time!! They were in the 4th set to go, and now theyre in the 3rd. She has no idea what that means as far as dates go, but they have a meeting on the 8th so she thinks they'll find out then. Either way her house will be done sometime in December - so they'll have a new house for Christmas!! Whooo!!
