Need Ideas For Something to Do Next Week
I was suppose to start back to work next week but just found out I have another 3 weeks of maternity leave due to me. My H had taken the week off to help the transition go a little better but now we have lots of free time. Any suggestions for what we can do? I can't think of anything besides the art museum. TIA!

Cape May Zoo? There's a little zoo in Norristown PA too that I never knew about. It's supposed to be really nice out so I'd focus on outside things.
Oh it seems really cheesy but if you have ever been to Duffields farmers market in Washington Twp they have a little "zoo" out back. If you knock on the side door they'll give you a bag of reject veggies to feed the animals. My daughter loves looking at the cow and goats.
Have you ever taken the Cape May Ferry to Lewes, DE? It's a nice ride.
There's lots in Philly. You could walk around Old City, go to the new Independance Center, there's a new Jewish American History Museum too.
You could also go to NYC. When we take the kids we drive to the Staten Island Ferry and take that into Manhatten. It's a nice ride and you pass the statue of Liberty on the way.
You could also skip the actual city and do a trip to Ellis Island & the Statue of Liberty. I did this with one of my classes at Rutgers and it was a lot of fun. I like history, so seeing Ellis Island was really cool. There is a museum on the island and a boat that takes you to the Statue of Liberty.
I also love going to Lancaster. There's outlets to shop at and then we usually go to one of the "Amish" buffets.
There's also Smithville near the shore (lots of little shops) and Peddlers Village in PA.
Hope that helps!! We've kept ourselves pretty busy this summer and thanks to our wonderful location, we didn't have to drive very far!!!
Great ideas ladies! Thank you!
I definitely want to do things outside since it's suppose to be gorgeous.
