I'm ordering a friends baby shower gift from Amazon. I don't want to use her registry from BRU because their shipping is pricey. I'm trying to think of some smaller handy items that she didn't register for. For example, I bought her a pack of closet dividers that she can sort clothes by size. I figured this would come in handy esp in the begining when she has an assortment of sizes. Can you think of any other smaller items that were very helpful to you that you didn't think to register for in the begining.

I ended up getting her the Fisher Price seahorse toy. Allison had glow worm and Amelia had the sea horse. Both were great soothers for them. In fact Amelia has become attached to her sea horse these past few weeks for some reason.

I never had thought of that either and had to get one after N was born.  Also, a lullaby CD, board books (alot of the books we got were with paper pages...not so good when the baby gets to the grabby hands stage), baby sized hangers to go with the tags you got.  I cannot think of any more small things right now that stand out as something someone would forget to register for.  I will keep thinking though...

I actually would bring along a soft pack of wipe with me. I found that when I used the travel container they would either a) dry out or b) i didn't realize I was running low until I needed more than I had left. (whoops).    I always got my wipes from Costco and they were in a plastic wrapper with a reclosable snap opening.

this.  And I know you already got this figured out but I LOVE those onsies with the month stickers so that you can take a pic every month.  They grow soooo fast!

A gift I got that was a bit different and I loved was a  gift bag of "pamper mom" kind of stuff.  Everything normally is for baby.  It had some lotions, nipple cream, 2 subscriptions to baby/parenting magazines, fluffy socks for the hospital.

sigh...I so wish I could have spent $200 on her. I also ordered some of the month stickers that I have to send her,along with a cute little sweater she had bought for Mia. I have been saving it for her, hoping that one day she would have a girl.

The best gift I got was the rock and play sleeper by fisher price.  Love that thing!
