WDYT - shoes/dress

I bought a black dress, looks similar to this, but a little more structured, less flowy:

I also bought these shoes:

WDYT? Yes or No ? I can wear them together, no?

Sorry about the non clickies and lack of PIP. I think I know how to PIP on the mac using the img code, but I have no idea how to resize the image, and these would've ended up really big.

  • I say yes, but I'm pretty bad at that sort of thing.

  • Yes of course. Black dress, black heels = Yesthanks for the pip, pookie.
  • Sure you can! They're both cute. I would have fun with the accessories & bring in a little color.

The heels are grey! How about a red jacket too? too much?

Maybe I am afraid of color. and of everything not matching exactly. I wore a blue button down shirt with cream colored shoes the other day. It was a big step for me.

  • I think they will look cute together.

  • Black and gray are both neutrals, so you can wear them together. Definitely add in some color to make it more interesting, red would be a safe way to go.

Do you need a jacket? If yes, red is safe. If not, I would skip that & maybe play around with some fun turquoise jewelry. That could be a baby step for you, but still add a bright color.

This is exactly what I was thinking. I'm personally not a big fan of red (or pink) and black together. But I think black and turquoise/green/blue is very fresh.

    Maybe something like this?

ETA: I have the exact dress that you posted that I wear with print or solid wedges and a chunky green necklace or peacock feathery hoop earrings (not both).

  • I think they would look great together. I agree that turquoise accents would be good.
