How to post photos in my Nest posts using a Mac

I can't seem to successfully add photos to my Nest posts. I have followed suggestions but I don't know if those were for people using Macs and if it matters. Any step by step help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: How to post photos in my Nest posts using a Mac

  • I can add pics from my Mac the same as my work PC.

Are you talking about a picture in your signature or a picture in the body of a post?

  • I haven't had any luck with Safari, but when I started using Firefox, I was able to add pictures using the tree icon above the text entry box.

  • I haven't tried posting in Safari.  I use FF and it works.

You have to have the photo hosted online somewhere.  Right click on the photo and select "Copy Image Location" then go into the tree icon and paste the URL into the URL field.  Then you can alter the dimensions so that neither is over about 300, or it won't fit on the screen without scrolling.
