Can babies show disappointment?

Lance got home at 6, ate and was back out the door within 10 minutes, and probably won't make it back inside before Wyatt goes to bed. Wyatt was so excited to see him home, so after Lance was gone he went to the foyer, and when he didn't find him there he sat for a couple minutes with the saddest look on his face and then came back to play with me again. It was so sad and makes me want to cry. I kind of wish Lance could see it so he knows how much he is missing.

Re: Can babies show disappointment?

  • I think they can.  They can show when they are happy, tried, frustrated and sad... I think at this age they can certainly show disappointment too.
