Planting new yard and landscaping??
We just bought a new house and it has zero yard. Completely excavated. Lots of dirt, mud, weeds, drainage lines, etc...I have no idea where to even begin. We will probably hire a professional to come in and level it and get out the rocks/weed. It is about an acre of a mess.
How much can I expect to pay for this? We want to get some of the area hydroseeded and a basic layout in place for a yard. I can do some of the gardening myself, but I can't move big boulders and I don't feel comfortable with the big stuff.
Has anyone put in a yard reciently and want to share what they did, and the expenses?
Anyone can be cool, but awesome takes practice!
Re: Planting new yard and landscaping??
I would get a landscape designer who charges by the hour to give you a quick and not-so-expensive idea of what will work. Then I'd have a few people come in and give estimates. We did a massive landscaping job a few years back and our quotes ranged widely. We went with the midrange guy who our next door neighbor had also used. Best.decision.ever.
