Whats your favorite time of year? I love Fall.  The leaf colours are so beautiful and the air is nice and fresh and crisp.

Favorite color? It fluctuates between pink and purple.  I have (tasteful) splashes of purple here and there in our house.

If you could travel anywhere for free where would it be? I'm a huge Parliamentary geek, so I would love to spend time in London, England and hang out around the Parliament buildings.

I almost asked what you're doing for labor day, and then looked and realized you're in Canada.  So, what are your regular weekend plans?

    Ocean or lake?

    Mac or PC?

    XBox, Wii, or Playstation?

    What color is your couch?

Do you like beans? I do like most beans.  My disliked beans are green and yellow beans.  I'll eat them, but don't enjoy them.

I almost asked what you're doing for labor day, and then looked and realized you're in Canada.  So, what are your regular weekend plans? It's Labour Day in Canada too, so we also have a long weekend.  We're having a surprise party tomorrow for my MIL's 65th b-day, and then hanging out with DH's family for the weekend.

Ocean or lake? Where I grew up there are MANY lakes, and it's very far from the ocean, so I'll say lake.  But, really, I have nothing against oceans, I'm just not super familiar with them Wink

Mac or PC? Oh, PC.  DH hates Macs - I have no idea why (he's in IT, so he knows way more that I do about computers)

XBox, Wii, or Playstation? We have a Wii; it's collecting dust in the basement.

What color is your couch? It's dark brown chocolate leather.  Something if our dog, a chocolate lab, is laying quietly, you can barely see her on it.

What is your favorite part of living where you do? Ottawa is a beautiful city with a lot to do.  It's also a short drive to many great cities and towns.  Mostly, though, I love that it's the heart of our federal government and I'm a political geek. (Ottawa is your Washington, DC)

What is your least favorite part of living there? It's far from my family.

What did you want to be when you were little? I fluctuated between a mechanic and a nurse.

What is your favorite quality about your husband? I love that there are sides of him that only I get to see.  To others he seems quite serious and reserved, but with me he does things like sing in the car at the top of his lungs and dance with the dog in the backyard.  It makes me feel special.

Biggest fear? That people won't like me.

Bad habits/vices?  Food.  Chips and candy are my nemesis.

Favorite ice cream flavor? It's a tie between chocolate and pb and chocolate and mint.

Peanut butter - creamy or crunchy? Crunchy, hands down.

Furbabies?  Past, present, future? We had many cats and dogs growing up.  Right now we have an orange cat named Gaius (guy-us) and a chocolate lab named Boomer

What is your favorite thing about DH? See my answer above.  It's the way he opens up with only me around.

I agree with you - green beans can be nasty. Never had yellow beans. They're no better!

Plans to have kids?  If so how many? We would like 2, but we're getting pretty old, so we'll take what we get!

Where would you live if you could move anywhere (no $$, logistics, job issues, or other considerations)? In Northern Saskatchewan, closer to my parents, sister and nieces.

How did you meet DH? We met online.

How old are you and DH?  I'm 36, he's 39.

  • Are you currently TTC?

Where is the coolest/most fun place you've ever traveled to?

What do you and DH do for a living?

  • imagekjhharris:

Are you currently TTC? We are, but not in the "taking temperature and charting sense"

Where is the coolest/most fun place you've ever traveled to? I spent a couple weeks in Greece and Turkey when I was about 20.  That was awesome.  DH and I also drove to Boston and then made our way up though Maine.  That was a great trip as well.

What do you and DH do for a living? I am a Parliamentary Affairs analyst for Elections Canada.  DH is in IT and works for Public Safety Canada, which is the Canadian equivalent to the Department of Homeland Security.  So, we both have comfy government jobs with great pensions.  We're pretty lucky.
