I Heart Fall

I know it's not officially here... but I am super excited anyway.

Yesterday, I was so happy about the weather that I made a "fall" blog post with the top ten things I love about fall.

In the interest of brevity, I am only posting my top 3.

3.  Closet shopping.  Twice a year I completely change my wardrobe.  I will soon be retiring all of my tank tops and shorts... and diggging out my box of fall.winter clothes... you know.... the Bearpaw boots (yep, too cheap to buy Uggs... so what?)... the skinny jeans, cute sweaters, scarves, hoodies... all of it.  It's like going shopping in my own closet and I look forward to it every year.  Come spring, I will be sick of the eskimo getup and ready to bust out the shorts again, but for now... I am excited for a change.

2.  Fire.  Bonfires, fires in our pellet stove, all of it.  I love fire.  No, I'm not a pyro... but I love sitting around a fire with some friends, drinking beer and signing along to our fav music... or cuddling up with Kevin and watching a movie in front of our pellet stove.  And the smell... ugh... LOVE the smell of fire.

1.  Pumpkin Ice Cream from Gannons.  Of course it was going to be food related.  I am an uber fat-kid at heart.  Gannons pumpkin ice cream is the epitome of fall, to me... and it is so absolutely delicious.

I love fall too! I am so happy it's here! My top 5 favorite things are:

1) The leaves changing color! I love it. It's so beautiful up here this time of the year! Also makes for some great scenery during wine tours

2) The clothes. I love curling up on the couch in sweats and a sweatshirt! I also love cute uggs, cute scarfs, sweaters, and just being comfortable!

3) Homemade chili. Mmmmmm. My favorite!

4) Pumpkin spice coffee. To die for!

5) Football and tailgating. Yes, I had to say it!

I just love Fall period.  Some of my faves are:

1. My Birthday and Anniversary-  I fricken' LOVE my birthday- its MY holiday...

2. Fall food is so awesome- chili, stews, pulled pork , cornbread

3. I love Thanksgiving- its my favorite- "everybody" holiday

4. i love the way the air smells- cool mornings, crisp winds, burning leaves...

I love the smell of the air. I love the way this one area of trees looks on the exit I take to get off at work, I like watching it change throughout the weeks. I can't wait for a pumpkin fritter at Tim's Pumpkin Patch. I can't wait to use the fireplace again. Football is great...we go to all the SU games and I am going to try to go to several of the games where I teach.I do get sad though because I really love our pool, and I hate when it's time to close it.

I love the leaves changing color.  The smell of the air.  Wearing layers of clothes and not really needing a heavy jacket, just a sweatshirt or light jacket.  Soups!  Pumpkin Spice Coffee, hot chocolate... FOOTBALL!  World Series (with the Yankees!) Fires (although we have them all summer so that's not just a fall thing in my book).

Late to the party but I just had to say that i love fall!! It's by far my favorite season. It's our anniversary and annual getaway to Finger Lakes wineries and to enjoy the gorgeous hikes this time of year.

I love cooler days and lazy weekends when something delicious is cooking on the stove and/or in the oven- cinnamon, pumpkin, apples- anything fall-like makes for good eats.

And this year I can't wait for our first fire inside- yay for a woodburning fireplace

I LOVE fall!

1. I love the cool temps. Jeans, hoodies, sweaters...it's awesome. A great break from 90s and humid here in DC!

2. Colors - reds, oranges, browns...so beautiful. Leaves were one of my fav fall things when I lived in upstate. I just finished some 1st birthday invites with a fall theme and the colors made me so happy!

3. Warm drinks (pumpkin spice k cups, tea)

4. Hockey. Hockey! HOCKEY! H-O-C-K-E-Y!!! The Caps are slowing coming back to DC and seeing them out and about in town makes me happy. Ready for our season tickets to arrive in the mail!
