Anyone gardening this weekend?
We had tons of rain in August and since we were on vacation for a good part of it, i'm really behind in weeding. (Clover is so bad this year!)
Besides that I want to pinch back my mums one more time so they dont flower too soon, and cut back some other plants that are way overgrown (salvia). If I have time I also want to trim my hedges back one more time. Doing them once a year isn't cutting it (as far as them holding a nicely groomed shape).
Re: Anyone gardening this weekend?
Yes, tilled the soil in my garden to prepare for fall planting. Disappointed that I am now just getting to it. What do you have planted? I need some idea for fall plants.
I spent the entire weekend in the garden and thus couldn't response to your post
I moved some hostas around in the back, ripped out some grass for a new bed up front, and ripped out some ivy vines (compliments of my next door neighbor) to make room for expanding my only sunny bed.
Oh yeah, we also spent Monday cleaning up tree debris from Saturday's wind storm. I ignored it Sunday to play with the fun stuff!
