Wedding attire question. (maybe some really dumb questions inside)
I am going to a wedding soon and the BF is coming with me.
I spoke to the bride and she said that the guests can either wear a suit or slacks and button down. The BF has a navy suit that he can wear. What would be a good color shirt for him to wear with it and what color should I wear?
I know nothing about fashion.
When X and I went to weddings, he wore a black suit, so I just wore a black dress.
Do I need to coordinate with him, but not be matchy/matchy? Or should I just wear whatever color and not worry about what colors he is wearing?
I am completely clueless.
Please and thank you for any and all advice.

i think matchy matchy is weird when done on purpose.
i i say wear whatever you want and he will probably do the same. if he has asked for your input on a shirt for a blue suit - i'd suggest a white shirt, or a white and blue striped shirt... or a even a different shade of blue.
LBD matches with a blue suit if that's your concern on what you should wear.
