As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Hi Everyone!
I'm taking the Nest plunge! The Knot has been trying to kick me over here since I got married, so I figured why not make an introduction? My name is Athena. My husband Marc and I got married August 12th (it was an amazing day!). We live in New York Mills (on the outskirts of Utica) with our Miniature Pinscher, Minnie. Unfortunately right now we're both having a difficult time with the job situation. We're both teachers looking for permanent positions. My husband lost his teaching position due to budget cuts back in June. We're trying to stay optimistic 
. Anyways, just wanted to introduce myself and give the Nest a try!

Welcome. I am not a close neighbor, but wanted to say Hello. I feel your job pain. I was laid off from my teacher job last school year, too. I can relate to the job search!! I am no the bottom of a call back list, so I am not sure what my options are right now.
