We put an offer on a foreclosed house about 2 weeks ago. We didn't end up getting the house and we were soooo bummed out about it. Anyways, while looking at the house we noticed that another one across the street was getting ready to go up. The "For Sale" sign finally went up on Tuesday although it was not listed yet. We called right away on it and offered asking price on Thursday morning. The agent came back Thursday afternoon and said that he requires us to be pre-approved by their agency in order to submit the offer. We got the approval this morning and of course sent this in immediately. The house was just listed this morning and our offer was submitted early this afternoon. Now the waiting begins! I am freaking out because we so badly wanted the first house and it was so heartbreaking when it didn't happen. We love this house and the neighborhood. I'm thinking our odds are good since we offered asking price and we put our offer in right away. I also assume that if they were not even considering our offer they would not have us go through the preapproval process. Has anybody else had something similar happen? I'm trying to stay so positive but I know this neighborhood is great and the asking price is very reasonable so I would not be surprised if somebody submitted something higher. I just don't know what to do
