**Amy**

We had Janie's 15 mo appt today and the Doctor asked about her milk intake and then I mentioned (he didn't ask) that it was still out of a bottle.  He kind of laughed and said that he's "supposed to slap my hand" but that it's really not that big of a deal and that dentists are the ones who really don't like it - - but they lose all their baby teeth anyway, and as long as we don't give her a bottle in bed (we don't) that it's not that big of a deal.

Of course, I still want her to transition but I feel better that it can be when she's ready.  She still uses a Newborn/slow flow nipple if you can believe it.  She hates the faster ones and just sputters.  Meh, she's healthy and happy so whatever.

Re: **Amy**

  • Good to hear!! Elle is just starting to really drink water and juice from her sippy so I'll try milk again in a week or so but won't stress if she doesn't take to it, she just started taking steps so one thing at a time!

  • that makes me feel better too. we are having lots of issues with milk in sippys. She completely refuses milk in sippys. Water is the only thing (and very watered down jice) that she will have out of her straw sippy.
  • Butting in but wanted to let you know that we're still in the same boat win Mads. She refuses milk out of everything except for a bottle. Our pedi said to keep going with it for now so that she gets the milk & that we'll talk more at her 18 month appt. Of course she's refusing her mid-day bottle at daycare now, so god knows how long the other two will last... * sigh*
