Finally made the decision

To put my cat down :( I feel horrible but in my heart I know it's the right thing. She is old, keeps losing weight and is down to nothing, she has been peeing on the floor and now she shat on it. That is my last straw. I know she probably should've gone awhile ago but I just couldn't make the decision. I am sad and this sucks. She was such a good cat and she is so beautiful. I got her when I was like 14 so she's been a part of my life for 16ish years. (Half my life!) I told H to make the appt and he's going to have to take her in...I just can't. And on that sad note my parents dog was run over and died earlier this week..what a sucky week.

Re: Finally made the decision

  • That is such a hard decision to make.  I agonized over it with our dog last year but, in the end, you know it is the right decision.  She has lived a great, long life.

What an awful week, so sorry about your parents' dog too :(  Sick/dying pets is so hard.

  • I'm sorry - I can't imagine how I'm going to deal when this time comes with my kitties.  Hang in there.  :(

  • I'm sorry C. That is a very tough decision and I know some day it will probably be me (us) in that same boat with our dog. My sister's dog has started showing signs of aging with not being able to get around near as well as she used to and sometimes can't get her butt off the floor. I'm thinking her time will be in the next year or so and just thinking about that makes me sad too. Good luck, i'll say a prayer for you guys.
