Kindle Tablet?

Has anyone heard anything about the rumored Kindle Tablet that is supposed to be coming out this year?

Since we are planning on getting a Kindle, I'm just wondering if it would be worth waiting a few months.

This may be a post n run.

Re: Kindle Tablet?

  • I've heard that Amazon was going to put a tablet out on the market by the end of the year to compete with the iPad.

I would stick with the normal Kindle if the main goal for you is reading books. I don't enjoy reading on a blacklit screen. It just depends on what you want to use it all for.

Excellent point!  Since this will be used 99.99% for reading only, we shall stick with a normal Kindle.  For some reason I assumed the tablet wouldn't be backlit either, but that wouldn't work would it? ;-)

Probably not! ;) That would be to good to be true.

I figure if the tablet is any good it would be something I would be purchasing for a different task then reading.

  • My favourite things about the kindle are that it's not backlit and that it's so small and light and easy to carry around - the tablet is bound to be bigger and I would definitely assume it's backlit.
