Dear Community,
Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.
If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.
Thank you.
Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.
Re: nest virus?
There have been a lot of spammers around lately-- I have been lucky to avoid those posts but basically, if you see a blank response in a post it's probably spammed. They put a spammed link in white writing so you can't see it.
Nope, I just get the pop-ups for the stupid Nest Magazine now online.
CRAFTY ME
my read shelf:
It only happens for me on the bigger boards, like the 0-3 or 3rd tri boards on TB. I googled the link I get and "virus" and came up with that thread above.
Sadly I can't run any kind of spybot nonsense on my work PC b/c I don't have admin rights, but I'll be talking to the hubby about how to do this at home.
it happened to me once on first tri,
I shut down my computer / restarted and then ran spy bot and CC cleaner.
I think it has been fine since then
