Has anyone done computerized pattern drafting?

I have been reading about Garment Designer by Cochenille. I'm thinking of trying to draft some patterns. I have some ideas, but the actual act of trying to draw them out makes me break out in hives. This software looks like it's pretty self explanatory, but I can't find many reviews about it. Anyone know anything about it?
She's crafty - and she's just my type.

Re: Has anyone done computerized pattern drafting?

  • I have the Bernina my label software.  Sad to say that I have only played around with it, and took a class, but have not actually used it to make anything yet.

It seems kind of similar, but you have to enter a lot more measurements than Garment Designer.

  • I would grab a book on flat pattern making and draft from there. Computerized drafting is great......... once you have a proofed pattern to insert and up size or down size a couple sizes. :) The software has limitations especially in the home use variety.
