question about work...
when you want the day off, does your job require you to tell you where/what you're doing??

my job asks every time i want time off what i'm doing. over the years i feel like they ask because they are nosy but i also feel like they'll base their answer depending on what i tell them...
i'm pretty sure it's illegal right? i don't HAVE to tell them what i'm doing especially if I have the PTO to use, right?
I don't think it's illegal. But I do think it's sh!tty if they would base their decision on it.
But if you don't want to tell them the real reason I think I would just say personal time or family time.
Not sure if its illegal but if you have the time you should be able to use it no matter what for. Thats odd that they always want to know!
My work is very lax on time off so i consider myself lucky in that regards!
I don't know about it being illegal, but it shouldn't be required. Especially if you have the PTO for it.
My work might ask but it's just out of curiosity, they don't require it.

mine ask..but also out of curiosity..they don't care either way.
i think they ask you because you work for a small company..and they're just curious.

All of that, but mine doesn't ask. But I tell my manager what I'm doing with my time off because I like her and she doesn't care either way and she's never said no.
well maybe mind don't require knowing, but they definitely get back quicker if it's an appt for something serious... if its vacay, they ask where when and blah blah blah.. sometimes i just wanna go somewhere without feeling guilted into telling them.
plus.. i told you guys about how my boss tells people stuff.. so it's never a secret if i tell her..
that would annoy me. we usually talk about it, but more because we tend to chat, and nothing more. I'm taking a personal day to take my boudoir pictures, and I'm DEFINITELY not telling them, lol. Just saying I need a personal day.
Luckily for us it's more of an "letting you know I'm taking the day of" vs. "can I take the day off."

omg, i LOVE jennygg! both her and her amazing talent. i did pics with her and had the best time ever. i can't wait until i get to my goal and she can take more photos!
jennygg is seriously the best!! you'll have fun! also, she makes you super comfortable and just really cares about making you look your absolute most beautiful. so don't worry, they'll look amazing! and judging by your avatar, you're gorgeous so don't worry!

no, i'm *pretty sure* i met her at a gtg some time ago...she sat across from me. but i only met her once...... i think she hadn't decided yet on jgg or not.
