Silly question a/b carpool lane

Can I drive in the car pool lane w/ just me and DS. I'm assuming yes b/c it is 2 people. I was driving to the valley from Venice and was wondering if I could do it. Does anyone know?

I think you legally can. However, I feel like the law needs to be such that if the person is not driving age, then there needs to be 2. Because are you really keeping a car off the road by driving your kid around? Probably not. But if you are driving 2 kids around, then you potentially are (if you are saving another parent from driving----I know this isn't foolproof, but if seems more likely than if it is just one adult and one child).

That is so funny - I was actually wondering the same exact thing the other day.  I think you should be able to.  You are "2 or more persons".  I've never seen a height/weight requirement.

I do it all the time with Jacob, & have never gotten pulled over.

For a while when Jacob was 2-3 months old I helped out a former employer in a pinch and actually took him to work with me daily, we went from Eastern Pasadena to Studio City via the car pool lane, it was so nice in morning traffic.?

Yes you can, though I was pulled over once as the officer couldn't see the kids in the backseat. He let me go as soon as he walked up and saw them though.

I don't use the carpool with the kids very often, but it does really help out when traffic stinks and one of them is screaming.
