Friday is our anniversary, and we can't really decide where we want to go. Chris isn't into paying $25 a head for dinner (but I think my IL are paying) but I think I might want to splurge.
The reviews of Francesca's in Hallowell are not that great, Slate's reviews are good but I think a little pricey. Cloud 9 screams way too much to pay
So what else is out there for some place yummy to eat? We aren't sure if we are leaving Taylor with the IL while we go out or if we are all going together.
Re: New dinner spot?
I really enjoyed The Mad Dog in Gardiner, they don't have a set menu - it is all specials that they usually post daily on Facebook. They call it a pub but the food is not pub like at all.
If you were looking for italian there is Pastaz in Gardiner also. My in laws always want to go there when they come up. I would say prices are similar to Olive Garden but it doesn't include salad.
Cloud 9 actually isn't too expensive.
Cafe de Bangkok
Pastaz
Mad Dog
The Old Goat in Richmond
Peppers in Winthrop (I haven't been in years)
Riverfront BBQ (hand shaken lemonade with vodka...yum)
And of course the Liberal Cup.
And actually you can get a dinner at Slates for less than $25 a person...a lot less.
we went to Pastaz a month or so ago- it was really yummy.
Riverfront is Jason's favorite place to go locally- It's similar to Beal Street BBQ.
Slates is great.
