Popping in!

Hey girls!

I just wanted to say hello and let you all know what's up with me. As you can see in my sig, the infertility thing has hit an all-time low. After a heartbreaking false alarm last cycle, I am relieved to be on a break from treatments. We are doing IVF in December, so please send your best nestie juju that it works on the first try. I'm not sure how much more disappointment I can take.  :(

On a brighter note, Justin and I have officially decided to move back to NYC! We will stay here until we can collect our annual bonuses at the end of the fiscal year in June, and then move in July. Hopefully I will be due in september and it works out perfectly! *fingers firmly crossed* SF is ok, but our hearts are in Brooklyn. We can't wait to get back!

How are you all?

Re: Popping in!

  • #1. I'm sending all the nestie juju I can your way.

#2. How exciting that you're headed back to the east coast! I think it is awesome that you gave SF a shot, but if BK is where your heart is, it is where you all should be, too :)

My life is full of house projects right now. We are still living in a state of half-ness. Things are in boxes because I think it is crazy to unpack if we haven't painted the room yet (and we still have loads of painting to do)...but owning our place is pretty wonderful, I have to say! It will just feel great to not have boxes up against the walls and have things up and the place decorated and feeling like us!

  • I'm definitely following your progress on the GP board, and I'm just so sorry it's not working out yet!  On the plus side, I feel like you help A LOT of girls on there. :)

Good luck with the move!  I understand how frustrating it can be to leave one place for another and wish you could go back.  Mine isn't as extreme as the opposite sides of the country, though!

What's going on in my life right now is also a moving conundrum... our rent is getting jacked up starting at the end of October (and it was jacked up last time we resigned our lease too!) so we basically can't afford to stay where we are, we can't afford a house (only because we don't have a few thousand on hand in cash for a downpayment), and we can't afford to move to a different apartment.  I feel like getting a giant cardboard box.

  • Good luck Kel! SF IS  my  home, and 3 years ago, I moved back. I think in the end we all end up where we belong. Sending you warm baby-making fuzzies....
  • Thanks for the update.  I'm so sorry the getting pregnant process has been so rough... best wishes for the next try in December!  Even though I love California, I know I could never leave my brothers here and move to the east coast even though we have other family there.  Good for you for giving it a try -- that's a great thing!

I'm in my "slow season" here which means my part time office job and some teaching -- no directing.  I've just been getting caught up on cleaning and organizing and trying to do some fun projects and hang out with people more before the next show starts and life gets crazy again.  We've also moved from watching the housing market to actively looking.

Pop in with updates every so often!!

  • My summer has been spent working, and cycling. Getting ready for a 2-day ride here in a couple weeks. No vacations or anything, we're on a really tight budget while we pay off a house full of new windows. Got a second whippet in July- he's 2 and came to us because of his special needs (too skittish for the show ring, and too dumb to race). We love him, but it's been challenging.

    That's all I've got. Next!

Yay for a new dog!  Smile

  • Sorry about your battles trying to conceive. Sending super baby mojo your way for December!

Not to much has changed our way. We are getting ready to take a small trip next month to celebrate 10 years together. We are going to drive down to Spokane. We really like it there and it also take us trough some of British Columbia so it will be a nice drive. We'll also spend time in the Crowsnest Pass area of Alberta. A favorite place of mine.
