Ouch! It's not bleeding, but looks like it could start soon.
Besides Lanolin, is there anything I can do? This is the first time - other than when we both had Thrush - that it hurts to nurse! Pumping doesn't feel all that great either. :-(

...also make sure you are cleaning with soap and warm water after every feeding. I used Dial soap.

Oh man, the things we go through to feed our kids! I've never had so many b00b issues in my life, and really couldn't contemplate the issues pre-nursing. I did have some bleeding/cracked nip issues a couple times, and I was always able to feel better with just lanolin. My pharmacist friend also told me about triple nipple cream, but I didn't have to go that route.
Anyway, hang in there, it will heal and you'll be glad you powered through!
