TP wedding dress game...

Some of you might recall my cousin with the destination wedding and her shower that I posted about last month...

Well, we've decided on a Lingerie Shower for next month.

I'm going to have a couple of tame, low-key games and I'm thinking of doing the Toilet Paper wedding dress game.

Would you have the bride choose the winning team or have the crowd applaud for the winner?  I'm trying to recall how I've seen it it in the past, and I'm drawing a blank.

Thanks!

Re: TP wedding dress game...

  • The bride for sure!! I've played this game a lot and every the bride is the judge. Big Smile

  • I've always seen it/played it with the bride as the judge.

  • My mom had me be the judge at my shower. Honestly, though, I felt a little weird doing it because I didn't want to pick someone over the other.

  • If you think she might be uncomfortable, then come up with a few categories she can judge in, and tally.  Like, poofiest, most/least skin showing, most virginal, best veil, etc.  Those are less judgey than just picking the best overall.  The scores add up to dictate the winner.  Have fun!
  • Thanks everybody!

I think I might just ask the bride what she's comfortable with while people are building their dresses.

  • We played this at both my showers (I was married in May) and we did 2 categories with the one I liked best, and the one that looked most like MY dress. Most people didn't know what my dress looked like, but it was fun for them to see what the closest toilet paper one looked like! I was the judge for both, and my MOH helped a bit too!
