Couldn't find Louise this morning. :-( Thelma is super distraught. We think an owl took her.

Re: Lost A Chicken
When I was a younger I picked out a Chicken at my grandparent house, practically slept with the thing at night, named her Joey after the character on Dawson's creek (I don't deny my nerd-dom) to then one day watch a fox dart of the woods and snatch her right up.
OH NO! Darn predators!
We knew it was a chance we were taking with a chicken so I'm not totally shocked but I'm still sad. She had really grown on me. Neena keeps saying "where go?" everytime she goes outside and just seen Thelma. Breaks my heart.

A friend of mine took it of her and edited it. I think she uses photoshop so I imagine she did something fancy schmancy with it.

Dude. Owls snatch chickens? I am so out of touch with nature.
That really sucks, I'm sorry. I know you guys and Neena were having such fun with them this summer.
My cousins had ducks growing up, and one time, one of my uncle's hunting dogs (some kind of hound) got loose and actually ATE the duck. We went out to feed them and all that was left of him was his beak and some feathers. WTH? A bit traumatizing, to say the least.
Are you guys able to get Thelma a new friend? Or is it too late in the season? (I know nothing about chickens and hatching chicks, obviously).

Poor Louise
It's kind of weird but a raccoon got 9 out of 14 of my sister's chickens. She was so upset yesterday.
I didn't know chickens had so many predators!
