Something you don't hear everyday:
DH works in Compliance at a Division I school. Once in a while, he'll get a request where he has to validate a relationship so it isn't breaking NCAA regulations. He had the following conversation with a student-athlete regarding how he knows a person:
DH: So how do you know ______?
Student: He and my dad used to work together.
DH: Ok. What did they do?
Student: They used to own the Houston Texans.
I swim because I'm too damned sexy for a sport that requires real clothing.

Yep, you hear some pretty crazy, out there and fun things!
Recruits always look the coaches when they are idiots when they have to confirm that their father really is, in fact, their father.
But people have lied about that so...

LOL yeah they look at DH totally askance when he asks this stuff.
But he definitely was not expecting "My dad and him owned an NFL team."
He also had a student ask if he could take some of this teammates on his dad's jet to Europe. This kid's dad is in the Top 50 Richest People.... In the world. Not the United States. The world.
