I haven't even looked at my sewing machine since I got pregnant, and I dragged it to my parents' house with me last week (I've been here since Friday...needed to just get away from the small town drama and sort of reward myself after the canning/preserving mayhem of Summer 2011.) and I'm making myself sew on it. Oh, how I've missed my sewing machine! ![]()
On the other hand, I'm almost to that point of hating this quilt I'm working on. It's DD's twister quilt in Moda Giddy and I started out loving it all, but the fussy little 1" sashing with cornerstones is about to drive me insane! I'm only in about 6 rows out of 18...I really need to get back to work!
Just wanted to say hi more than anything. I feel like I've been such a lurker lately!

Stand up for something you believe in.
Hi! I'm so happy for you. Almost out of 1st tri- yay! How are you feeling?
It was a long and not-much-crafting type of summer here. Gabe might get to do summer school next year- because entertaining the two of them all day every day wore me out! Even when I had them both out for naps- I didn't have the energy to do much. School started for him last week, though, so I'm getting moving again.
I know, I finally got up the confidence to get a ticker...starting to let myself believe this one is a keeper! I'm feeling CRAPPY, which is a fantastic thing.
We did get to see the heartbeat again last week, so that was great.
I got a lot of sewing and other projects done in June and July, but nothing after that. I have way too many furniture projects sitting in my garage (including a new sewing table! Needs quite a bit of repair in addition to paint though.) and way too many friends having babies.
Sounds like a busy summer for you! I am looking forward to schooltime, and thankful DH isn't going to make me go back to work full time after the kid(s) are in school, so maybe I'll get a few whole days a week to sew! Eeeeeeek! Is Gwen's birthday coming up (for some reason I'm thinking it was in October?)...are you doing anything crafty for that?

Hooray for sewing! I did a lot of sewing in January, found out I was expecting Jan 31, and suddenly became narcoleptic.
I don't think I got my sewing machine back out until April.
Of course, now that I have just over 5 weeks to go, I'm in a mad dash to get a bunch done.
