(this post could have a totally different meaning without the colon, lol)
strangely, I've wanted to do this for a while because I'm curious a) how many women wear push-ups on a regular basis and b) whether that has any correlation with their cup size. Like I mention below, "push-up" means there is extra padding

I'm not sure, I was hoping if someone was a double they would know - I put in the little sub-heading thing to try to pick whatever is close if you're a double, otherwise it would have a million options

I'm a DDD - so I just voted D.
I guess I figured it was most accurate because there are so many gazillion sizes
I'm a DD and I voted Bigger and push up, because they are heavy and I like them to be extra perky and have amazing cleavage whenever possible.

I'm too lazy to google, can someone explain the double (or triple) letter size thing to me?This boggles my mind.
signed,
tiny B (singular).
This confuses me even more!
As in a D at Victoria's Secret is not equal to a D in a Maidenform bra?
No - in that sense you're right. But when you add in the extra DD's or whatever. The letters are the cup sizes.
From wikihow = he number is known as the "band size" or "back size," and the letter is the "cup size." However, what many people do not realise is that cup sizes are in proportion to the band size, so a D cup, for example, is not the same size in every bra. A 32D is the same size as a 34C or 36B, but on a smaller frame. A 28F is actually five cup sizes smaller than a 38F, so it's not as big as it sounds![3] If you're fairly slim, then you may well need a large cup size even though your bust doesn't look any bigger than average.
ohhhh. thanks for clearing this up. it sounds so confusing and much harder to shop for bras when you have bigger bewbies.
But people pay good money for bewbies as big as yours!
I've been trying to figure out a way to start a donate a boob program - I mean if I get rid of them (reduction) I'd like them to go to good use! You know - help a sister out kinda deal!
I'd be willing to take whatever you don't want.
Mine didn't show up until I was 23 (yeah, wha?!), before that I was barely an A . My mom had a reduction from a DD to a B and it really helped her back problems...but I was so annoyed. I look so much like her and have half her genes, couldn't they have just taken it out of her and tucked it in to me at the same time? lol
I'm a 30DD, so I voted E, since my Chantelle bras are sized 30E.
Definitely no push-up, but do have some lift, lol.
no, I knew this, but it was too complicated to have all the various band/cup combinations and it's safe to say for the purposes of this poll that A is smaller than C and that was all I was trying to get at. Also, I'm pretty much the same size in any brand I've tried, so I didn't know people sometimes wear different sizes.
In any case, I've felt conflicted about wearing a push-up. I have good size boobs for my body size (32D) I think and I don't really want to go around having guys oogle them all the time, but sometimes I feel a little jealous that I don't really have cleavage.

This whole post makes me and my little bewbies feel depressed. I just want to be a C cup. Is that too much to ask for?!
the only free solution I've heard of is getting KTFU
(my mom's are ginormous because she had kids, so as much as I want cleavage, I'm kind of glad they aren't that big)

I think if we go halfsies on mine you should get there.
Also remember that my boobies aren't actually that big, my rib cage is just super small.
she can have half of mine, too. then she can start feeling the pain of what big bewbs are like.....
*my* question is.....why does it go to DD instead of E? DD is smaller than E, right? what about DDD? wtf is EE.....then F? FF? and how does the whole precedence work?

This.
I guess I'm a special case - I had breast reduction surgery, so I don't technically NEED a push-up. I like comfy bras, and would only wear a push-up for a specific piece of clothing (ie a nice dress or something).
ETA: I was a J cup prior to surgery. Yes, J. J for Jumbo.

Well, my bewbies are 30DD, and about half of my bras are 30E, and the other half are 30DD. I think 34DDD is equivalent to 34F? Because that's my sister's....
*whispers* what does a J even look like?!
I'm trying to picture this and all I can see is my head on your chest. (I mean this in the least creepy way possible.) In my mind J's are the size of my head.
Well, let's just say they weren't pretty. They were kind of like long, wide tube socks that were really heavy and uncomfortable. I have pictures somewhere (before and after shots), but I think my hard drive ate them when it died. It was NOT fun.
My boobs are much prettier now, and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

this
so...would you say that generally 1 extra letter just sort of equals the next letter up in size?

I'm only a B! You can hang out with me and feel totally even more hawt than usual considering you have better skin, AMAZING clothes, AND you're significantly tinier/skinnier than me so your B's look larger
